A Wakeup Call to TANA Members We the life members of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) call upon all fellow TANA members to support our efforts to restore the prestige and credibility of our beloved organization. Needless to say, the current state of the organization is the direct result of the interpersonal clashes within the organization’s leadership. We now believe that personal vendetta, power struggle, cronyism and public squabbles have taken priority for the varying factions of leadership. Unfortunately as both factions of Leadership with their stubborn stands steer the organization into non-relevance, the other leadership branches have taken a muted path thereby inflicting further damage to the organization. We after conducting brain storming sessions, group discussions and unsuccessful rapprochement meetings have come to conclude that bringing unity between the two varying factions of the leadership is not possible given their extreme stands on the contentious issues. Henceforth we as TANA members propose to all factions of the leadership the following Conduct ONE TANA Conference in 2009 Failure of this proposal will force us to give a call to all TANA members NOT to donate Funds, Time and Efforts for any version of the 2009 Conferences. We will also call for a boycott of all versions of the 2009 Conferences. Membership Verification Entrust the verification of all TANA memberships to an independent body outside of TANA under the observance of non leadership members. Election for next Leadership Entrust the next election process to an independent body outside of TANA under the observance of non leadership members. The support of all concerned TANA members will add prolificacy to our sincere efforts. To do so Register on this web site. (Information is kept highly confidential) Actively participate in the Discussion Forums and share your suggestions and advices for the organization. Express your opinions through articles to be published on this website. Conduct meetings with like minded members and garner support for your and our cause in your home City. Popularize this website as one stop for TANA members by spreading the word, calling friends, etc. (We promise not to commercialize this website)

ఇప్పటికైనా కళ్లు తెరుద్దాం !! తానా సభ్యులందరికీ విజ్ఞప్తి - ఈ రోజు మన తానా సంఘం ఏ పరిస్థితిలో ఉందో ప్రత్యేకంగా చెప్ప నక్కరలేదు. ఏ నోట విన్నా, ఏ పత్రికలో చూసినా సంస్థ ప్రతిష్ఠ రోజు రోజుకూ దిగాజారడమే కనిపిస్తోంది. తానాకి దక్కవలసిన గౌరవంలో ఇసుమంతైనా కనిపించుటలేదు. ఏ ఆశయాలతో, ఉద్దేశాలతో ఈ సంస్థ పుట్టిందో, వాటిలో కొంచెం కూడా ఈ రోజున మనకి కనపడట్లేదు. ఈ పరిస్థితికి కారణాలేమిటో కూడా ఈ పాటికి అందరికీ తెలిసే వుంటుంది. స్వార్ధ రాజకీయాలు, వర్గ విభేదాలు, బహిరంగ దూషణలు, స్వలాభం కోసం ఏర్పడ్డ కూటములే మన సంస్థని ఇంతగా దిగజార్చాయి అనటంలో తప్పు లేదు. దురదృష్టవశాత్తు ఏ వర్గానికీ చెందరు అనుకున్న వారు కూడా ఏమీ చేయక పోవటంతో పరిస్థితి చేయి దాటిపోయింది. ఈనాటి ఈ పరిస్థితికి 'ఒకరి మీద ఒకరు దుమ్మెత్తి పోసుకునే వర్గాలు' ఎంత కారణమో, ఏమీ మాట్లాడ కుండా జరుగుతున్నవి చూస్తూ ఊరు కుంటున్న మిగతా నాయకత్వం కూడా అంతే కారణం. సంస్థ ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితి చూసి ఇక తట్టుకోలేక, ఏదొకటి చేయాలి అనుకునే సభ్యులందరూ కలిసి గత కొన్నాళ్ళుగా ఎక్కడికక్కడ వారి వారి పట్టణాలలో సమావేశాలు నిర్వహించుకుని ఏం చేయాలో, ఎలా చేయాలో చర్చించుకుంటున్నారు. రాజీ ప్రయత్నాలూ చేసారు. కాని ఇరువర్గాల మొండి పట్టుదలలతో అవన్నీ విఫలమయ్యాయి. ఈ నేపధ్యంలో సంస్థ మంచి కోరుకునే ఈ సమావేశాలలో నుంచి సంస్థ పరువు, ప్రతిష్టలు పెంచేందుకు సహాయపడుతూ, తక్షణ సమస్యలకు పరిష్కార దిశగా చేసిన కొన్ని ఆలోచనలనూ, తీర్మానాలనూ మీముందు వుంచుతున్నాం.'ఒకే ఒక్క' తానా సమావేశం: 2009 లో అమెరికాలో ఒకే ఒక్క తానా సమావేశం జరగాలి. ఇది జరగని పక్షంలో సభ్యులందరికీ, తెలుగు వారందరికీ 2009 సమావేశాలను బహిష్కరించుటకు, సహాయ నిరాకరణకు పిలుపు నివ్వటం జరుగుతుంది. అలాగే ఏ రూపంలో కూడా (చందాలు, ప్రకటనలు, బహుమానాలు, అత్యంత విలువైన సమయం) ఆ సమావేశాలకు సహాయ పడవద్దని విజ్ఞప్తులు చేయటం జరుగుతుంది.సభ్యత్వ నిరూపణ యత్నాలు: ఒక పెద్ద సమస్యగా తయారైన ఈ 'సభ్యత్వ నిరూపణ' క్రమమంతా ఏ ఒక్క వర్గానికీ కాకుండా, స్వతంత్రుల పర్యవేక్షణలో జరగాలి.2009 ఎన్నికలు: ఈసారి ఎన్నికలు ఇప్పుడున్న నాయకత్వ పర్యవేక్షణలో కాకుండా, స్వతంత్ర పర్యవేక్షణలో జరిపించాలి.
ఈ పైన చెప్పిన 'డిమాండ్స్' అన్నీ న్యాయమైనవేనని మా అందరి అభిప్రాయం, నమ్మకం కూడా. మన సంస్థని కాపాడుకోవటంలో ఇది ఒక ఆరంభం మాత్రమే. మా ఈ ప్రయత్నానికి అందరి మనఃపూర్వకమైన సహాయ సహకారాలు తప్పకుండా కావాలి. ఈ క్రింది వాటిలో ఏదోక రూపంలో మనం చేయగలిగింది చేద్దాం.
